SEAM (South Eastern Applied Materials) is an ISO 9001:2015 accredited industry-focused Applied Research and Development facility based at South East Technological University in Waterford . It provides innovative materials engineering solutions for research and industrial partners seeking assistance on materials related issues that cannot be solved by utilising their on-site resources.
SEAM, which celebrated its 10th Anniversary in 2019, has also become a leading Technology Gateway Centre, currently assisting over 235 Irish based industries from wide-ranging sectors such as Medical, Pharmaceuticals, Micro-electronics, Precision Engineering, Food and Energy. Notable SEAM repeat clients include Teva, Bausch and Lomb, Boston Scientific, Schivo Medical, Garrett Motion, Stryker, Pfizer, Sanofi, West Pharma, BD Components, Integer, Valeo, EDPAC and Glanbia.
